East Village Community School
InFlight, an Arts-in-Education program of Phoenix Theatre Ensemble, has collaborated
with the East Village Community School for the past 5 years to bring learning adventures to students through the theatre arts. Using process-based, interactive theatre, we explore the stories of our world.

Kindergarteners traveled to Kenya to learn about Wangari Maathai and the trees of Kenya; First Graders created the only kid-run farm and farmers market in the U.S.;
Third/Fourth Graders formed a secret team of time-traveling archaeologists; Pre-K'ers are astronauts preparing for a trip to outerspace; the Second Graders are running an animal care center and are embarking
on a wild coyote chase through New York; and the Fourth Graders were just hired by the International Detective Agency and outfitted with a yacht that will take them around the world!
